Yes. We use genuine comfort-rated bags, not inflated marketing labels. Our bags are –15°C comfort, –20°C survival. We test them ourselves — if a bag doesn't keep you warm at Pangong in October, it doesn't make our inventory.
Everything in our inventory is selected specifically for Ladakh conditions. The tents handle Changthang winds, the mats have R-value 4+ insulation against frozen ground, and the stoves work at altitude where oxygen is 40% lower.
Yes, a small refundable deposit is required at booking. It is returned in full when gear is returned in normal condition. Normal wear and tear is expected and covered.
Pick it up from our Leh office, or we deliver it to your hotel or directly to the campsite. If you've rented a vehicle from us too, we load the gear into your vehicle before handover.
Normal wear is covered. Significant damage (torn tent fabric, broken poles) is charged at replacement cost, deducted from your deposit. We always show you the gear condition before and after.
If you book a guided camping trip, yes — our team handles setup and breakdown. Gear-only rental is self-service, but we give you a quick setup briefing at handover.
Most open areas are fine, but zones near the border and some protected areas require permits. We advise on the best legal camping spots for your route when you book.
